Water balloons
Water Balloons Needed from EACH Student
Published: Sat, May 19, 2018, 09:51PM CDT

Water Balloons and getting wet are a big part of Field Day. The day will not be as fun if we do not receive your water balloons.

  • EACH STUDENT NEEDS TO BRING 50-75 FILLED WATER BALLOONS to school between 7:00 and 7:50am on Friday, May 25th.
  • Bring balloons in a LABELED basket or ice chest with name and grade, or other disposable container, during morning drop off.
  • Parents can drop off balloons in the front loop as early as 7:00AM, if your student rides the bus and doesn’t want to take them on the bus

Tips for balloons:

  • Check out some of the new inventions that allow you to fill many at once and are self sealing — available at Costco, Walmart, Walgreen or CVS. HOWEVER, these need to be double tied if filled the night before because they leak, OR filled the morning of.
  • Please fill balloons adequately, underfilled water balloons can sting
  • Please do not use regular balloons — they get too big, purchase WATER balloons
  • Let your kids help fill them up— they will have fun with this and it is part of the field day experience.

Thank you for your help!

Volunteers Needed!
The DCE PTO is sponsoring the greatest event of the year
on Friday, May 25

Field Day is the highlight of the year for our kids. In order for the day to run smoothly, we require LOTS of volunteers.

Volunteers are NEEDED to staff various stations. Although we are setting up for all-day shifts from 8:30am -2:30pm with a lunch break, we understand that not everyone can commit to the entire day. If you are able to work morning or afternoon only, we welcome that as well. Just include that in your comment section when you sign up!

Volunteers will receive an email with additional station instructions.

This is a GREAT event for BOTH DADs and MOMs to volunteer.

If you are able to help in any way please use the link below to sign up.
We have over 60 slots to fill to make this a successful and safe day for the kids.

Thank you so much for your help!
